•Database of Research on International Education

• DeLiberations on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education
DeLiberations is a web site of resources and issues on learning and teaching for the higher education community which is maintained by The Educational Development Team of London Guildhall University. These resources cover the full range of subjects at the higher education level as well as general topics. The site also acts as a platform for discussion of relevant issues and maintains a mailing list.

•Explorations in Learning and Instruction: The Theory Into Practice Database (TIP)

• Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT)
MERLOT is a free and open resource designed primarily for faculty and students in higher education. With a continually growing collection of online learning materials, peer reviews and assignments, MERLOT helps faculty enhance instruction. MERLOT is also a community of people who strive to enrich teaching and learning experiences.

• National Survey of Student Engagement
“The National Survey of Student Engagement(NSSE) is designed to obtain, on an annual basis, information from scores of colleges and universities nationwide about student participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. The results will provide an estimate of how undergraduates spend their time and what they gain from attending college. Survey items on The College Student Report represent empirically confirmed ‘good practices’ in undergraduate education. That is, they reflect behaviors by students and institutions that are associated with desired outcomes of college.” Annual reports and related materials from 1999 through the present are available at this site.

•Principal Indicators of Student Academic Histories in Postsecondary Education, 1972-2000
This U.S. Institute of Education Sciences 2004 report offers “a descriptive account of the major features of the postsecondary academic experience and attainment of traditional-age students during the period 1972-2000.” Drawn from three NCES longitudinal studies, included tables cover “geographic mobility, postsecondary access and degree of participation, postsecondary attainment (degrees, credits, time-to-degree), attendance patterns, majors, curriculum clusters, grades, and remediation.”

•Reinventing Undergraduate Education: A Blueprint for America’s Research Universities
