Divisive Issues: Political Cartoons

The Vietnam War was characterized by issues which deeply divied America.

1. After reading the Divisive Issues readings and fulling in you Divisive Issues chart, choose three divisive issues to represent in political cartoons. Each of the cartoons should portray how the issue divided the nation.

2. The criteria for each of the three cartoons are:
   1. each cartoon clearly indicates how the issue divided the nation

   2. each cartoon has a brief, but clear explanation of the message portrayed by the cartoon

   3. each cartoon used appropriate and clear symbols

   4. each cartoon is neat, of "final copy" quality, and shows effort on your part
